Handwoven in wool in northwestern Iran, circa 1950–1980, Shirin carries the craftsmanship of traditional Persian flatweaving. Each section is formed on the loom by interlacing threads, creating a beautifully tactile textile whose small irregularities reveal the hand of its maker.
