Antique Tekke Turkmen Rug. If you're reading this, you have good taste as you've clicked on a bloody gorgeous antique rug which will elevate your home to new stylish heights! 

From around 1900, these beautifully ornate rugs were used as ‘dowry’ weavings by the Turkmen bride on her wedding day.

Made from a very fine wool with a short pile, however, I also love it laid the other way for a flatter more muted look. I've photographed both sides to show the very subtle difference.

The rug is in excellent condition with very slight even wear comensurate with its age.

Similar examples of antique tekke rugs are available in excess of £1500 online today, so while an investment, it's a bloody good one that I'd prefer to go to a good home.

Approx Measurements: 127 x 180cm

All rugs will be sent either folded or rolled, and may therefore require airing and laying flat in order to regain their shape.

This is an old rug, no denying it! I have chosen not to professionally clean this rug, but if you chose to do so that is your responsibility. I have aired, beaten and hoovered the rug - however, it may require a little spritz once opened.
